It's made of one piece of leather I'm told. I love the hardware and the way the strap is just the right length. There's a little pocket in the inside where my iPhone will live. Peeks of natural leather come through the stain, the leather is punched with a decorative and expressive finish. Can't wait to see and feel how the leather will soften. We also got a belt and already have a guitar strap... Fiveleft also won the best booth award. Rutile topaz is another favourite, a quite rare and interesting gem that has the clarity of a diamond with astonishing needles of trapped minerals.</div> <br /> <br /><div></div> <br /><div>Q: How did you start making jewelry?</div> <br /><div>A: Before I became a full-time jewelry designer, I spent years assisting local, national and international non-profit organizations on a broad range of topics spanning projects involving language learning to environmental health and policy issues. I want to create pieces that complement the natural flow of the materials that I use in order to highlight the organic beauty of what I am working with. I do sometimes sketch designs, especially with the more elaborate pieces, but mostly I see the finished piece in my mind, then create it.</div> <br /> <br /><div>Q: What is your favourite material?</div> <br /><div>A: Pearls! All shapes, all colours - the bigger the better. I've always loved them, always worn them. I am also in love with rough cuts of pyrite right now, and obviously any type of silver medium.</div> <br /> <br /><div>Q: How did you start making jewelry? </div> <br /><div>A: It was a spontaneous decision that resulted from the purchase of a simple craft earring kit. Within weeks, I had signed up for markets and was determined to be successful. I am mostly self-taught, with a few courses here and there. There is always something else to learn. Four years later, I have a clear vision of what Pink Gargoyle is meant to represent. I always know I had to express myself creatively, I just hadn't found the right medium yet. I was making some jewelry with my cousin who brought over all her gems and findings to my house one day and I fell in love with the gems.
